5000 Thames Valley Students To Attend Annual Dance Festival

Over 5,000 students from across the Thames Valley system are dusting off their dancing shoes for the 41st Annual Dance Festival, to be held at the Education Centre April 16-20.

Dance Festival gives students the opportunity to perform live for their families and friends. The Dance Festival will be streamed live during the performances, allowing fellow students and distant relatives to watch their dance clubs on their computers.

Schools can provide specific times when students will be dancing so friends and family can also share in the event. The complete schedule will also be available on the TVDSB Athletics web page.

Eighty schools from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 will celebrate their enjoyment of dance in this non-competitive format. In addition, there are several high schools from across Thames Valley performing throughout the week. The festival provides a great opportunity to showcase and promote dance programs that can be continued at the secondary level.

Please note that some performances may not be streamed due to privacy issues.

Spectators are asked to enter the Education Centre through the door off the rear parking lot.
