The sixteenth set of games of the 2017 Port Stanley Senior Softball season were held Wednesday, July 26th in mostly cloudy skies, with temperatures rising over the day to 27 degrees Celsius, a Humidex of 33 and the wind from the Southwest at 17 km/h.

In Game 1 the Sailors took the early lead in the first with two runs, while Shedden got on the scoreboard in the second with one run. In the fifth Shedden took the lead adding two runs, but shortly after in the bottom of the fifth, lost it to a tie when the Sailors added one. The Sailors broke the tie with two runs in the sixth. Shedden came back with two in the top of the seventh to again tie the game, but the Sailors returned with three runs and kept the lead to take the win with a final score of Sailors 8 - Shedden 5.

In Game 2 the Maroons got off to an good start with two runs in the first, while the Pirates waited until the second for one, and took the lead in the third with another two. So far, the game was close with the Maroons managing a tie in the fourth, and then retaking the lead with two in the fifth. Then the sixth inning happened, some call it luck, some say it was the other team that tired, but in the end it looked like the Pirates just had their act together managing to send five around the bases, to take the lead, then did it again in the seventh with another five, and kept the lead to take the win with a final score of Pirates 13 - Maroons 5.

In Game 3 the Blues finally took the early lead in the fourth with two runs, only to have Boxall return in the sixth with two to tie the game. This game proved to be a good close game that anyone could win, but after the ninth both teams managed two runs each that kept the game tied. For awhile in the tenth, Boxall seemed to have the game when they took the lead with one, but lost it in the bottom of the tenth when the Blues came back with two runs to take the win with a final score of Blues 6 - Boxall 5.
