Dorchester Dolphins Win 63 Over Port Stanley Sailors

On Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 the Port Stanley Sailors played their fourth game of PJHL Regular 2018 - 2019 Season against the Dorchester Dolphins at the Port Stanley Arena.

The Dorchester Dolphins got the first goal of the game at 1:08 of the first period with Dylan Buckholz (6) scoring, assisted by Alex Pettipiece (11), and Ryan Root (4). Not long after at 4:05 Sailors Dawson Maton (18) went all the way unassisted to tie the game. Just past the halfway mark of the first period at 10:42 Port Stanley took the lead on a power play goal by Austin Muscutt (3), assisted by Tyler Foslett (9), Tyler Simon (25). At 15:58 the Dorchester Dolphins tied the game from a goal by Jovin Eterno (9), assisted by Noah Lambe (12). Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 10 - Port Stanley Sailors 11.

In the second period at 2:49 Dorchester Dolphins took the lead from a goal by Dolphins Braidon Duncan (20) assisted by Dylan Van Dusen (25). Then at 6:52 on a power play Dolphins James Newland (8) managed Dorchester's fourth goal of the evening with assists going to Ryan Poley (10), and Austin Bisschop (23). With about six minutes left in the second period the game began to get a lot rougher with penalties which stopped the game several times. Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 15 - Port Stanley Sailors 8.

The Sailors went into the third period down by two, but the Dolphins were in control adding goal number five at 2:52 from Dylan Van Dusen (25), with David Henshaw (19), and Turner Balasin (17) assisting, and goal number six at 10:30 by Dylan Buckholz (6), assisted by Jovin Eterno (9). With one minute to play in the third period Sailors Kyle Hopper (16) assisted by Nick Love (17) scored Port Stanley's third goal of the game. The third period was also filled with 18 penalties with the game stopping several times with fighting on the ice. The referees seemed to be overwhelmed by the constant desire of both teams to get too rough. The game ended with Dorchester taking the win with a final score of Dorchester Dolphins 6 - Port Stanley Sailors 3. Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 10 - Port Stanley Sailors 6.
