Dolphins Win By One Over Sailors

On Saturday, November 25th, 2017 the Port Stanley Sailors played their twenty-first game of the season against the Dorchester Dolphins at the Port Stanley Arena. With the Dolphins leading in league standings, this game provided some really exceptional cliff-hanger moments that kept the fans glued to their seats.

Port Stanley's Brady Allen (2) scored the first goal of the game on a power play, early in the game at 1:00 of the first period with Brayden Latimer (19), and Dawson Cook (24) assisting. Taking advantage of an extra man on the ice seemed to work again, this time for the Dolphins at 9:22 when Dylan Buckholz (6), assisted by Ryan Root (4), and Lucas Wilson (11) tied the game. Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 13 - Port Stanley Sailors 15.

Port Stanley regain the lead at 3:51 of the second period when Sailors Austin Muscutt (3) scored from a pass by Brady Allen (2), and Derek Smith (10). Less than a minute later at 4:35, Dorchester again tied the game with Lucas Wilson (11) taking credit for the Dolphins second goal with Dylan Buckholz (6), and Ryan Root (4) assisting. At 6:20 Dorchester's Ryan Poley (10) this time on a power play, with Turner Balasin (17), and Christian Huff (21) assisting gave the Dolphins the lead for the first time in the game. An extra man on the ice during the last minute of the second period at 19:03 gave Port Stanley's Nolan Blewett (13) the tying goal with assists going to Derek Smith (10), and Brayden Latimer (19). Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 16 - Port Stanley Sailors 14.

Dorchester at 4:35 of the third period again took the lead, this time with Christian Huff (21) scoring, and Ryan Poley (10) assisting. Down by one, Port Stanley seemed to be giving everything it had left to get that tying goal, and then finally at 16:01 Sailors Brayden Latimer (19) from a pass by Tyler Foslett (9), and Austin Muscutt (3) tied the game. The game was tied for only ninty-one seconds when Dolphins Ryan Poley (10), assisted by Carter Forget (2), and Turner Balasin (17) at 17:32 scored the final goal of the game giving the win to Dorchester with a final score of Dorchester Dolphins 5 - Port Stanley Sailors 4.
