Dorchester Dolphins Win 61 Over Port Stanley Sailors

On Saturday, November 9th, 2019 the Port Stanley Sailors played their sixteenth game of the PJHL Regular 2019 - 2020 Season against the Dorchester Dolphins at the Port Stanley Arena.

The game began with the Port Stanley Sailors on top getting that all important first goal at 2:10 of the first period with Liam Hepburn (9) scoring and Lucas Glanville (21) getting the assist. Five minutes later, the Dolphins took advantage of a Sailors penalty to tie the game at 7:46, with Josh Short (17) taking credit for that power play goal assisted by Caden Faulkner (22), and Tristan Gerth (3). During another Sailors penalty at 14:28 the Dolphins managed to take the lead with Caden Faulkner (22) taking credit for that power play goal assisted by Josh Short (17), Colin Capstick (24). Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 21 - Port Stanley Sailors 10.

The second period was a great one to watch with both teams playing at their best showing the crowd some real Port Stanley Saturday Night hockey action. Although there was more time spent in the penalty box in this period, the score remained at 2-1 for the Dolphins. Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 19 - Port Stanley Sailors 9.

In the first half of the third period the Sailors seemed to have the upper hand while three Dorchester players spent time in the penalty box, but any scoring opportunities were thwarted by Dolphins defence. The second half of the third period had Dorchester taking full control of the game managing straight four goals: the first by Brody Smith (14) at 12:33 with Dylan Buckholz (6) assisting; the second twenty-five seconds later by Caden Faulkner (22) with Brett Holt (19) assisting; the third at 14:29 was a power play goal by Brody Smith (14) with Braidon Duncan (20), and Dylan Buckholz (6) assisting; and finally the fourth at 16:05 while short handed by Dylan VanDusen (25) with Austin Bisschop (23) assisting. Shots on goal for the period were Dorchester Dolphins 21 - Port Stanley Sailors 13. The game ended with the Dorchester Dolphins taking a 6-1 win.
