Obituary for Paul David Caldwell

Caldwell - Paul David of Frome, Ontario, on Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at the age of 71 peacefully went to sleep with his family by his side.

Paul is survived by his wife Paula (nee Purvis); his children Tammy (Scott) Ritchie of Kingston, Ontario and John (Jamie) Caldwell of London, Ontario and his grandchildren Jacob, Ryley, Ella and Carter. He is also leaving a big hole in the hearts of and will be lovingly missed by his step children; Tabatha Dieleman, Shana (Scott) Gilchrist, and Tanya (Tim) Prescott and their children Kaelynn, Preston, Emma, Hunter, Ella, Gracie, Hailey, Nolan and Cole. He will forever be missed by his siblings Jean (late Ray) Smith, Robert (Rebecca) Caldwell, Bette (Ron) Harvey, Nancy (John) Dietz, and Lester (Louise) Caldwell; and all of his sister and brother in laws. He will always be remembered by a smile or laugh from his many nieces and nephews. Paul is predeceased by his wife Nancy Caldwell (nee Ryland), his mother and father Besse and Pete Caldwell and his brothers Gerald and Peter Caldwell.

Paul worked for Ford Motor Company-Talbotville and loved playing hockey and baseball. He made a friend in each of you and you will all have a “Paul story” to share. He will always be remembered for making us laugh and for having the kindest of hearts.

Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #410 Port Stanley, Ontario on Saturday July 14th from 2:00-5:00pm and 7:00-11:00pm.

An internment of the ashes will take place the following day with his family. In true Paul fashion, he requests that everyone come wearing a jersey and have a drink on him. And, still supporting them until the end...he asks that you donate, in his name, to the Port Stanley Legion Upper Deck Fund. www.sjfh.ca
