Brown - Muriel Bernice (McClelland) of Extendicare, Port Stanley, passed away peacefully
at her residence on Friday, May 11th, 2018, at the age of 84 years.
Beloved wife of the late Carman Brown and the late Ramsay McClelland. Loved mother
of David Brown (Janice) and Darlene McKee (Paul). Cherished grandmother of Ryan
Brown (Stephanie), Joshua McKee, Matthew McKee (Jen) and Scott McKee (Krissy) and
great-grandmother of Abram, Allison, Finnegan, Grady, Auley, Gavin, Jona and Maia.
Dear sister of Clare Metcalf (Jane) of Petrolia. Predeceased by her granddaughter
Allison Brown (1997) and by her sister, Loreen Walker (late Vernie). Lovingly remembered
by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Muriel was born in Petrolia on February 14th, 1934, daughter of the late Earl and
Martha (Sisson) Metcalf. She was a former member of St. John's Presbyterian Church,
Port Stanley. Muriel worked as a Land Registry Agent (Title Searcher) for many local
law firms. She was a well-known watercolour artist and was a member of the Port
Stanley Artists Association and Lambeth Artists Guild.
In keeping with Muriel's wishes, cremation has taken place. A public celebration
of her life will be announced in June. Memorial donations may be made to the Adam
Linton Dialysis Unit at the LHSC or to the Alzheimer Society. Williams Funeral Home,
45 Elgin Street, St Thomas entrusted with arrangements.
