Obituary for Barbara Johnson

Johnson, Barbara of Port Stanley, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, at the age of 80.

Beloved wife of the late Ronald Johnson (Feb. 4, 2015) and dearly loved mother of Kathy Hutchinson (George Loveday), Ronald Johnson (Kathy), Susan Lampman (John), Mark Johnson (Debbie) and Nancy Dunn (Rusty). Much loved grandmother Stephanie Geisbrecht (Chad) and their children Brooke and Ezri, Desiree Murray (Steven) and their children Caleb and Lilly, Randi Holzli (Brian) and her children Wakely and Westlynn, Brieann Fleury (J.J.) and their children Peyton and Teagan, Kyle Johnson, Adam Lampman (Chelsey), Shawn Lampman, Amanda Johnson (Greg and their daughter Nova, Jessica Johnson, Natasha Wiebe (Mark) and their children Talim, Kai, Laila, Greysin and Lilly and Alanna Dunn (Holden Tolman). Dear sister of Richard Bolt (Diane), Paul Bolt (Brenda), David Bolt (Darlene), Danny Bolt (Dawn), Johnny Bolt (Betty Jean) and late Wally Bolt, Marion Robinson (Morley), Betty Findlater (late Ken) and the late Phyllis Groves (late John). Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews and friends.

Barbara was born in Port Stanley on October 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Jones) Bolt. She was never sick a day in her life ("She was always fine", just lie her mother before her) Even up to the last day in the Hospital, according to one of the nurse's if she needed anything at all she was fine. She loved children and they were her life and she cared for many of them throughout the years, including her own. They always brought a smile to her face. We never knew a children that didn't take to her nurturing, caring ways. She will truly be missed.

A private family service will be held on Wednesday morning. No public visitation. Cremation, with interment of ashes in Union Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association
