WPS Theft of Lottery Tickets from Local Business

Monday, January 07, 2019 - The Woodstock Police Service continues with their investigation into the theft of a large quantity of lottery tickets stolen from a local Dundas Street business last week in the City of Woodstock.

The theft occurred at a local convenience store at the west end of the City on January 01st, 2019 at approximately 05:32 am. The first male suspect entered the store and asked for four tickets to be printed off. When provided the tickets, the first male made his way to the back of the store.

At this time, a second male suspect entered the store and asked the clerk with assistance in finding an item. While the clerk was distracted, the first suspect entered behind the front counter and removed a box containing numerous Lottery scratch tickets. The male then fled the store and the second suspect quickly left the store shortly afterwards.

The first suspect is described as being a white male, wearing an Air Jordan 23 sweater, jogging pants, black toque and red and white shoes.

The second suspect is described as being a white male wearing a black jacket, grey/green sweater, dark coloured pants and a black ball cap.

The Woodstock Police have released photographs of the suspects.

The Woodstock Police Service Criminal Investigations branch is continuing with the investigation.
