Woodstock Traffic Enforcement

On Wednesday April 19, 2017, The Woodstock Police Service Traffic Unit conducted Traffic Enforcement in the city. The Traffic Unit concentrated on 40 km/hr school zones. Over a short period of time the Traffic Unit laid 15 charges under The Highway Traffic Act. 13 of those charges were for speeding. One driver was observed and stopped while speeding 74 km/hr in a posted 40 km/hr school zone. The Traffic Unit also charged driver's for Fail to have Insurance Card and Drive Motor Vehicle-No currently Validated Permit.

The Woodstock Police Service would like to remind all driver's to slow down and be aware of the areas they are travelling in. There are signs posted in all School Zone area's alerting driver's to reduce speeds and watch for children crossing the street. Let's all do our part to make sure that all children are safe at school and return home safely to their families.
