School Bus Charges Laid

December 6th, 2017 - Charges were laid yesterday in two separate incidents of drivers disobeying red flashing school bus lights. The first incident happened during the after school run on Burwell road and the second was at the same time nearby on South Edgeware road. Both drivers reported that the bus was at a full stop with red lights flashing, stop sign extended and crossing arm out. Students were disembarking at the time of the offences. The bus drivers were able to record the licence plates of the vehicles and both owners were issued a $490.00 fine and six demerit points. There is no excuse for driving through a school bus. Drivers, slow down and pay attention.
