April 15th, 2017 - On Thursday April 13th, 2017 in the early evening as a result
of an investigation into local residents trafficking controlled substances a vehicle
was stopped just north of the City limits. The driver and passenger were arrested
for possession for the purpose of trafficking.
During the stop 28 grams of cocaine, $180 in Canadian currency were seized.
At 10:45 p.m. a third person was arrested on South Edgeware Road for possession for
the purpose of trafficking.
As a result of the arrests a warrant was executed at an address in the north end
of the City, which resulted in the seizure of numerous prohibited knives, scales
and dime bags.
In total $2000 in drugs were seized.
As a result of this investigation one person was released unconditionally; the second
person was charged with Breach of Probation and unauthorized possession of a prohibited
weapon and the third charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine.
