A utility trailer stolen from a Southwick Street lane way didn’t make it far before
it crashed into a parked car. The utility trailer was taken around 5 pm Friday night
by an unknown suspect driving a red half ton pick up truck. The thief did not secure
the tongue of the trailer to the ball hitch on the truck and the trailer bounced
free from the hitch near the intersection of Center and Hinks Street. The trailer
came to a stop after it rolled into a parked car. No one was injured during the
collision. The suspect in the truck continued driving westbound on Center after
he lost the trailer. The trailer was returned to the owner with minor damage and

Police are investigating the theft of three leaf blowers that were left in the box
of a pickup truck parked on Glanworth Avenue Friday night. The owner last saw the
orange and white Stihl blowers friday evening and noticed them gone Saturday morning.
The total value of the stolen equipment is approximately one thousand dollars. If

Police are investigating a theft that occurred on Thursday November 1st from a townhouse
located in the 450 Wellington Street complex. The resident left the unit unlocked
when she took her children to school around 8:45 am. When she returned home at 10:30
am she discovered her unit had been entered and several items were stolen. The woman
is missing a 49″ LG television, a Samsung tablet, several already wrapped Christmas
Presents, food and Halloween Candy. If you have any information about this incident

Officers arrested a forty three year old man wanted on a warrant after they observed
him walking down Flora Street around 3 am this morning. The man was wanted for one
count of Breaching his Probation Order. He was taken into custody and later released
on a Promise to Appear in Court.
A family dispute ended in charges after a nineteen year old sliced the vinyl siding
of his mothers house with a knife. The incident occurred Thursday night around 11
pm when the mother arrived home to find her son waiting for her in the lane way.
An argument ensued and ended with the son stabbing the house with the knife. As
a result he was arrested and charged with one count of Mischief Under $5000. The
son was held in custody overnight at the Colin McGregor Justice Building for a court
appearance the next morning. No injuries were reported to police.
A twenty five year old homeless man was arrested Friday afternoon around 3 pm after
he injured another man by hitting him with a chair. The two men were both at a Talbot
Street drop in center for the homeless when the incident occurred. The victim was
treated for minor abdominal injuries. The accused was taken into custody by police
and charged with one count Assault with a Weapon. He was later released on a Promise
to Appear in Court.
Friday a thirty eight year old St. Thomas man was recorded on security video stealing
a camera and an HDMI cable from Walmart. Officers reviewed the footage and quickly
identified him. Police attended his residence and charged him with one count of
Theft Under $5000. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Court. Officers recovered
the stolen property and returned it to Walmart.
Sunday a thirty nine year old female walked into the Mac’s Milk variety store located
on Elm Street and stole a tube of over the counter medication valued at ten dollars.
The woman then left the store without paying for the merchandise. The female was
later identified by police through the store security system and a warrant is being
sought for her arrest.
Sunday a seventeen year old male was arrested for stealing chocolate bars and beauty
products from Walmart. The youth was observed shoplifting by loss prevention officers
at the store and was arrested after he attempted to leave without paying. Officers
arrived and charged the youth with one count of Theft Under $5000 and released him
on an Appearance Notice for Youth Court.
