Warrant From Traffic Court
February 7th, 2019 - St Thomas Police arrested a thirty nine year old St. Thomas
woman Tuesday evening after discovering there was a warrant for her arrest. Officers
were dealing with the female on an unrelated matter when they learned she was wanted
for failing to attend her traffic court date back in March of 2017. The warrant
stems from a 2017 traffic stop where the woman was summoned to court by police for
Driving While Suspended and Speeding. The woman was later released on a Recognizance
with a new traffic court date to answer to the original charge.
Police have arrested a forty four year old St. Thomas man after an argument with
his forty eight year old common law became physical. Officers responded to a 911
call from inside the couple’s residence around 8 pm last night. The female disclosed
that during the argument the man had grabbed her by the throat. As a result the
man was taken into custody and charged one count of Domestic Assault. He was later
released on a Promise to Appear in Court next month. No injuries were reported.
