August 10th 2018 - On August 9th 2018 St. Thomas Police attended a south end residence
that had been broken into overnight. Suspects gained entry through the rear of the
residence and removed several power tools. The total value of property taken was
approximately $750. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to
call St. Thomas Police.
On August 9th 2018 police attended at a north side residence for a domestic dispute.
As a result of a police investigation a 58 year old St. Thomas man was arrested
and charged with assault and mischief. The male was held for court and later released
by the courts on a recognizance.
Also on the August 9th 2018 police observed a motorcycle driving at a high rate
of speed north on Burwell Road. The motorcycle had no lights on and went through
a red light narrowly missing over vehicles. The motorcycle was located at Highbury
Avenue and Ron McNeil Line where the 43 year old male driver was arrested by police
for dangerous driving. As a result of further investigation the male was also charged
with three counts of breach of probation, two counts of possession of a controlled
substance and unauthorized possession of a weapon which were brass knuckles. The
male was released from custody with a future court date.
