July 10th, 2018 - On Monday July 9, 2018 at around 10:30 a.m. Police were made aware
of a possible breach of recognizance. Investigation revealed that a 52 year old
female who was on conditions not to attend within 25 meters of a south end residence,
had in fact attended the area of the residence breaching her conditions. As a result
the accused is charged with one count of Breach of Recognizance and one count of
Breach of Probation.
On July 9, 2018 at 1:10 p.m. two 19 year old females were arrested for a theft that
occurred at Walmart. Loss prevention staff observed the females try to conceal $390.00
worth of merchandise in a tote that they were pushing in their shopping cart. The
females attempted to exit the store without paying for the merchandise, when they
were stopped. The two females are each charged with one count of Theft Under $5000
and they were released on an Appearance Notice.
At 2:10 p.m. on Monday July 9, 2018 police were called to Walmart with regards to
a theft suspect that had just fled from loss prevention staff. Police located the
27 year old female a short distance away and she was placed under arrest. The accused
had attempted to exit the store without paying for a vacuum that was valued at just
under $300. Police learned that the accused had been previously trespassed from
the store and was currently on several release orders. The 27 year old female is
charged with one count of Theft Under $5000, one count of Breach of Recognizance,
one count of Breach of Undertaking and one count of Trespassing. The accused was
held for morning court.
On Monday July 9, 2018 at around 7:15 p.m. police were dispatched to Walmart with
regards to a theft that had just occurred. Loss prevention had observed a man conceal
about $107.00 worth of meat in a bag, before exiting the store without making any
attempt to pay for the items. When confronted by loss prevention staff, the suspect
dropped the bag and fled on his bike. The 26 year old male was located by police
and he was placed under arrest for theft. Investigation revealed that the accused
was also currently on conditions not to attend at the Walmart. The accused is charged
with one count of Theft Under $5000 and two counts of Breach of Probation. He was
held for a court appearance.
A 34 year old man was arrested on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at around 1:45 a.m. by Oxford
OPP on the strength of a probation warrant held by the St. Thomas Police Service.
The accused was returned to the St. Thomas Police Station where he was processed
for Breach of Probation. The accused was later released with a future court date.
