3rd Floor Fall
April 8, 2018 - Saturday, 7 April at approx. 6:56 p.m. police were alerted to an
address at the west end of Talbot street regarding a male that had fallen or jumped
from a 3rd floor apt window. Paramedics were on scene upon police arrival. The 36
yr. old St.Thomas male was coherent but had injuries to his head. He was transported
by ambulance to hospital. No foul play was involved.
Transported To Hospital For Treatment
At approximately same time as above incident police were alerted to a rooming shelter
in regards to a 51 yr. old female cutting herself. Prior to arriving on scene police
were updated that the female had taken a quantity of pills and left in her vehicle.
Police quickly located the female and apprehended her under the Mental Health Act.
She had caused minor damage to a police cruiser by 'bumping' into it. The female
was transported to hospital for treatment.
Sunday, 8 April at approx. 9:30 in the morning police responded to a variety store
in north end of city regarding a shoplifter. The store employee also advised that
the suspect male was not supposed to be at the store due to a previous theft. Police
located the male a short distance from the store and arrested him for theft under
$5000 as well as for the previous theft that had occurred on 6 April. The 23 yr.
old male appeared before weekend video bail court and was released from custody.
He was further detained as London Police had outstanding arrest warrants for him.
He was transported to London police cells to be dealt with on their charges.
