April 19th, 2017 - The year 2017 is starting out no differently than 2016. From
January to March 2017 there have been 94 collisions reported to police as opposed
to 92 in 2016. Wednesday is the most popular day of the week for a collision at
21 and Sunday being the least with 8. With such a mild winter only 27 collisions
were as a result of the weather and unfortunately 1 was as a result of Drinking
The top 3 intersections for 2017 are:
- 1) Elm / Fairview
- 2) Fairview / Wellington
- 3) Burwell / Edward
In 2016 the top 3 intersections were:
- 1) Fairview / Wellington
- 2) Edward / First
- 3) Fairview / Talbot
There were a total of 27 Fail to remain collisions, most of which occur in parking
lots involving unoccupied vehicles.
