Maroons Win 63 Over Boxall, Shedden Wins 123 Over Blues, Pirates Win 21 Over Sailors

The third set of games of the Paul Caldwell Wooden Bats League 2019 season were held Wednesday, May, 29th in cloudy skies and intermittent rain, with temperatures rising over the day to 19 degrees Celsius, and the wind was from the south at 20 km/h.

Game 1 was a good close game until the sixth when Boxall managed a single run while the Maroons sent five players around the bases to take the lead. In the seventh the Maroons added another single to finish with six. Boxall added two runs in the ninth to finish with three giving the win to the Maroons with a final score of Maroons 6 - Boxall 3.

In Game 2 Shedden took the early lead in the first sending five players around the bases and added three more in the third. The Blues got on the scoreboard in the fifth with three runs. In the seventh Shedden added another three runs plus a single in the eighth to win the game with a final score of Shedden 12 - Blues 3.

Game 3 was another close game with the Sailors scoring first with a single run in the fourth while the Pirates took a little longer scoring two runs in the sixth. The teams seemed to be evenly matched today with the Pirates winning by only a single point Pirates 2 - Sailors 1.
