The Paul Caldwell Wooden Bats League 2019 season began Wednesday, May, 15th, 2019 with the first set of games played in mainly sunny skies with temperatures rising over the day to 20 degrees Celsius. The UV index was at 6 or high. This year the League's players feel a little safer knowing that an AED (automated external defibrillator) is available on site at the games just in case someone suffers a cardiac arrhythmias or a ventricular tachycardia, and is able to have immediate on-site first aid to re-establish a life saving effective rhythm.

In Game 1 Shedden took the early lead in the first inning with four runs, while the Pirates were a little slower off the start, they did come back with two runs in the third, while Shedden added another two runs. In the sixth the Pirates managed to added one last run to end their game stuck at three, while Shedden added two in the eighth and three in the ninth to easily win the game over last years champs with a final score of Shedden 11 - Pirates 3.

In Game 2 both Boxall and the Sailors seemed to be playing their best matching in the first their single runs to make the tie, to matching their three runs in the fourth to again keep the game tied. It wasn't until the ninth inning when the Sailors pulled out in front to take the lead and win the game with a final score of Sailors 7 - Boxall 4.

In Game 3 the Blues got the early lead with just a single run in the second, while the Maroons took over the lead with three in the third. In the fourth the Blues regained the lead by sending five players around the bases, and added just a single in the fifth, and three in the sixth. In the eighth the Blues added another two runs to finish with twelve, while the Maroons added a single in the eighth, and added another two in the ninth to finish with six with the win going to the Blues with a final score of Blues 12 - Maroons 6.
