Recycled materials transformed into wearable art at annual Motion fashion show,
London, Ontario - Monday, April 1, 2019 - The School of Design at Fanshawe College,
in partnership with Lexus of London, presents Centuries in Motion, this year's 'wearable
art' fashion show.
Featuring garments designed and created by students of the Fashion Marketing & Management
and Design Foundations programs, Centuries in Motion will travel through time, showcasing
recycled materials that have been transformed into unconventional fashion for the

"First-year Fashion Marketing and Management students, along with students from
the Design Foundations program, have designed and created wearable art garments
from recycled materials," explains Fashion Marketing and Management professor Linda
Jenken. "Second-year students work on the actual production of the show, which is
a wonderful opportunity providing collective experience in fundraising, marketing,
staging, and merchandising."
Proceeds from the Motion show ticket sales and silent auction will be donated to
the Children's Health Foundation of London, Ontario.
