Fanshawe College
Art therapy program has significant benefits for those living with dementia

London Ontario - On Sunday, November 25, Fanshawe's Recreation and Leisure Services students and McCormick Care Foundation will team up with the London Arts Council to showcase 'I'm Still Me: A Journey of Art,' an art therapy program designed for individuals living with dementia.

The event will be held at McCormick Dementia Services, 2022 Kains Rd, London from 1 to 4 p.m.

The primary goal for this year's community art show is to raise awareness and demonstrate the many benefits of art therapy for those living with dementia. The community is invited to attend this event to view the beautiful artwork created by the clients.

Last year, Fanshawe College paired up with McCormick Dementia Services and the London Arts Council to perform a one-day event called 'Perfection in Perspective.' The art show was so successful the Government of Ontario awarded a grant to fund this year's event.

This a free community event open to the public, however donations are welcome at the door.
