Elgin County, Ontario – The Elgin Children’s Network (ECN) in partnership with the
Ontario Early Years Centre is bringing together families from across St. Thomas
and Elgin County for "Soup with Santa" on Tuesday, December 13th, 10am to 1pm at
the St. Thomas Timken Centre.
This event is for all families with children ages 0-6 to share a meal, enjoy activities
and build community relationships. Families will be invited to share their ideas
and hopes for services within their community and neighbourhood that support children
and caregivers. Elgin Children’s Network will be asking families to provide input
and feedback about what services and supports are important to them through online
surveys and in person at Soup with Santa. The event is free and registration is
required by Dec 9th. Families can register by calling 519-631-9496.
Bev Fellows says "ECN is about collaboration and building relationships. We believe
strongly that everyone has a role to play in creating a community where every child
gets the best start in life. We feel that this event will provide families with
the opportunity to share their ideas on how we can strengthen our community and
make our community a great place to raise a child!"
Elgin Children’s Network (ECN) is a local collaborative of agencies and individuals
representing children’s services, education, health and social services sector.
By bringing people together, ECN works towards building communities where every
child has the opportunity to be engaged, empowered, and to thrive. For more information
