The Port Stanley Community Policing Easter Egg Hunt is a valued Port Stanley tradition
that brings together a huge crowd of the young and the young at heart for some great
Easter fun. When weather cooperates, children gather at the Legion's Cenotaph Park
and at 11:00 a.m. rush to gather scattered painted rocks that all over the lawn.
Before the Easter Egg Hunt begins Stanley Rabbit, and many of children, parents
and grandparents all meet at the Port Stanley Library for 10:30 a.m. to get acquainted.
Shortly before eleven Stanley Rabbit took all those willing on the trek across the
King George lift bridge and then on to the Port Stanley Legion for the Easter Egg
This year due to some wet and windy weather the Port Stanley Community Policing
produced their Easter Egg magic indoors at the Legion. Children gathered to have
a dry visit with Stanley Rabbit for some Easter goodies and parents were not far
behind busy with a camera capturing all those precious moments in time.
After the hunt many of the children get their fingerprints done by the OPP. Many
parents also treat their children to the Easter Bunny Port Stanley Terminal Rail
Train following the hunt.
Easter Bunny trains run this weekend, as well, so keep you eyes on your
chocolate eggs in case the egg snitch is on board that train. Happy Easter!
