St. Thomas, ON - On January 14, 2020 and January 15, 2020, Karen Vecchio, Member of Parliament hosted an Agricultural Producers Roundtable and a Municipal Leaders Roundtable to hear from constituents and officials of Elgin-Middlesex-London.

"As the 43rd Parliament will reconvene at the end of the month it is important that I am able to hear from the stakeholders and leaders for insight and knowledge on obstacles that our local municipalities and farmers are facing," stated Vecchio. Topics such as infrastructure investments, regional transportation, trade negotiations, carbon tax and climate adaption were key discussions.

"It is evident that both municipal leaders and farmers have concerns about our environment and want to Work with the Government of Canada to address our carbon emissions," stated Vecchio, Canadians are facing numerous challenges with market access, lack of infrastructure, affordability, conserving our environment and as elected officials we must work to find solutions with all Canadians and work collaboratively for the better of Canada." said Vecchio.
