Central Elgin, ON – The Municipality of Central Elgin and the County of Elgin will
be hosting a grand re-opening of the Belmont Library (14134 Belmont Road) on Monday,
July 11th, 2016 with proceedings taking place at 2:30 pm. Comments will be provided
by MP Karen Vecchio, Elgin County Warden Bernie Wiehle and Central Elgin Mayor Dave
Marr. Members of the community have been invited to attend.
Belmont Library Re-Construction Quick Facts:
Project Cost: $405,000 (Municipality of Central Elgin - $300,000, County of Elgin
- $55,000, Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund - $50,000)
Main improvements – Elevator installation, new at-grade entrance, 597 square foot
expansion, creation of a children’s program area.
Library space square footage post-construction: 4,367 square feet
Consulting Architect / Engineer: SPH Engineering, Woodstock
General Contractor: Graceview Enterprises, Belmont
