Carbon Tax Could Cost Ontarians

The federal government is finally admitting the carbon tax could cost Ontarians more of their hard-earned money.

Small business owners, families and individuals have been left in the dark about the real cost of their punishing carbon tax plan.

The Financial Accountability Officer has already said the Trudeau government's carbon tax will cost Ontarians an extra $648/year by 2022.

Now, the federal government is suggesting it could cost Ontarians even more.

I'm calling on my federal counterpart to be upfront with the people of Ontario and disclose the real cost of her government's carbon tax plan.

Ontarians deserve to know how much the federal carbon tax will cost them, especially when Ontario already has a plan to fight climate change that doesn't include a tax that makes every day life more expensive.

Since day one, we have been hard at work delivering on our promise to make life more affordable for Ontarians.

We're asking the federal government to do the same – scrap the carbon tax and work with us on delivering real results for the people of Ontario.
