March 12, 2018 - To Residents of East Road from Dexter Line to Hill Street, Gentrey Lane, Hill Street
east of East Road Port Stanley, Ontario.
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Joyce Lock, is advising people living in this
area of a loss of pressure in the municipal system that might have compromised water
safety. As a precaution, they are being asked to bring water to a rolling boil for
at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes e.g., drinking, making
infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.
The reason for the advisory is that the Medical Officer of Health has been advised
that a water main break occurred on East Road on March 12th, 2018 that could have
affected the water supply. The boiling water advisory is recommended as a precaution
in case the loss of pressure led to contamination. All consumers located at East
Road from Dexter Line to Hill Street, Gentrey Lane, Hill Street and east of East
Road are being notified of this advisory.
