St. Thomas - On Sunday Elgin-Middlesex-London NDP Candidate Amanda Stratton launched
her campaign with a community BBQ at the official opening of Ms. Stratton's new
campaign office at 540 Talbot Street. The day was filled with opportunities for
people looking for answers about the NDP's comprehensive platform and policies,
and for sharing perspectives on important issues.
Some of Amanda Stratton's background includes being a small business owner, an award-winning
community organizer, and a mom to two daughters. She's mentored and empowered hundreds
of entrepreneurs, and has supported local economic development in communities across
the country. Amanda has also served on numerous civic and non-profit boards and
committees. She's also very passionate about transportation, regional development,
and improving everyone's lives.
She spoke about how the NDP has a comprehensive platform that will make life more
affordable for everyone. A healthcare system that makes sure that everyone gets
the healthcare and healthcare options that they need. Keeping local schools open,
and fixing the education system making sure that they get the funding necessary
to provide a quality education in a safe and healthy environment. Make needed infrastructure
funding accessible to all of Ontario. Create a better regional economic plan ensuring
that everyone is working together creating more opportunities for everyone.
