Children's Health Foundation launches new fundraising initiative – Miracle Mission.
London, ON – Miracle Mission is the latest fundraising initiative for Children's
Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, launched on October 18 by Children's Health
Foundation. The mission, should the community choose to accept it, will be raising
funds for much-needed equipment and value-added programs at the hospital.
Agents can sign-up online at www.miraclemission.ca and perform a variety of tasks
to fulfill their mission. Through the online approach, agents can set up a personal
fundraising page and request donations from friends and family. Through the more
‘old-school' approach, agents can hold events of any size – from bake sales to galas
– or collect coins in a special Miracle Mission coinbox. Kids, families, community
organizations, businesses – anyone can get involved!
"Miracle Mission is a fun, new way for our community to get involved and raise funds
for Children's Hospital," shares Scott Fortnum, President and CEO, Children's Health
Foundation. "Ninety per cent of the equipment at Children's Hospital and 100 per
cent of programs such as Child Life and Ollie the Therapeutic Clown, are funded
by generous community support. Our kids need the community to come together in missions,
such as Miracle Mission, to ensure they have the care they need, when they need
Funds will be collected throughout the year and agents will be asked to bring in
their collections to Corus Radiothon for Children's on February 8, 2019. Here they
will be celebrated and recognized for their outstanding achievements.
