It is not in my nature to forward articles or commentary as a general habit. This
one however struck me.
I estimate that when an anthology of Rex Murphy's writing is one day published...,
this cogent, literate, moving example of it may stand as his finest, most beautiful
prose. I was deeply touched reading this for its brilliance as much as its subject.
I believe John C. Crosbie was among the finest Canadians to have ever lived and
one of the sunniest too. I could never of my own effort write something in tribute
to John as Rex did with this piece.
This is award worthy and I encourage all to read and understand why. I'm confident
you would then agree.
