On the morning of August 2nd, 2015 my neighbours realized that their ATV was stolen
the night before from their beach property.
From the fresh tracks left in the sand from the rain, we were able to see that the
thieves pushed the ATV down the beach before hot wiring it. They took it for a joy
ride and ended up going between two houses before they possibly loaded it up on
a truck off of Edith Cavell. A police report was filed the next morning but no new
information has come forward.
Chances are that my neighbours will never see their ATV again but we would all like
to see that the thieves are caught as soon as possible to prevent any more thefts
or damage. I also wanted to bring this information to the community of Port Stanley
to remind everyone to keep an eye out and communicate with our neighbours to ensure
safety of one another.
Last year (summer) there were break-ins in several locations along the beach, all
done in the middle of the night. If you see something suspicious, please report
it. We may possibly put an end to the violation of our privacy and property if we
put all our pieces of the puzzle together.
