Monday, March 18, 2019 - The Woodstock Police Service were busy conducting RIDE programs around the City of Woodstock yesterday. Police are pleased to report that everyone had found a sober driver to get them home safely.

Thefts over the Weekend:

On Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:29 pm, the Woodstock Police Service received a report of a theft that occurred at the Mac's Milk store located on Norwich Avenue in the City of Woodstock.

Investigation revealed that an unknown male entered the store and selected several items. Prior to making a purchase at the front counter, the male fled the store in a red SUV vehicle.

The suspect described as being approximately 50 year old, with a white/gray beard, wearing a red and black ball cap and a red and blue coat, fled in a red SUV.

On Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1:46 am, an unknown male and female entered the 10-Buck Pizza located on Dundas Street. As the male kept watch, the female dumped the contents from a tip charge into her purse. The two culprits fled the area. Police are still looking for the suspects.

On Sunday, March 17, 2019, at 1:20 pm, two teenagers attended the Zehrs store on Dundas Street and stole a case of pop and some other items, before fleeing the store on foot. The males were last seen heading on Dundas Street east of the store.

Males are described as being in their teens wearing dark clothing.

On Monday, March 18, 2019, at 9:14 am, the Woodstock Police Service received a report of a theft from a trailer parked overnight in a hotel parking lot at the south end of the City.

Investigation revealed that sometime during the night, unknown suspect(s) attended at the vehicle and cut the lock on the attached trailer unit. The suspects took off with approximately $10,000.00 in tools.

There are no descriptions available to police at this time.

Police Seize Cocaine during Traffic Stop:

A 19-year-old Woodstock male is facing several charges after a routine traffic stop on Sunday, March 17, 2019 around 9:15 pm.

Sean GREMM, age 19 is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession for the purpose of Trafficking in cocaine. The male is also charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon after a set of brass knuckles was located.

The driver, a 19-year-old Barrie male is charged with numerous Highway Traffic Act offences in relation to the vehicle.
