Theft

June 18th, 2019 - Police are investigating after an unlocked shed was entered Sunday night behind a residence on Scott Street. Thieves entered the shed stealing food items and a t-shirt. Warrant

A twenty eight year old Woodstock woman wanted on a warrant by St. Thomas Police turned herself in at the Colin McGregor Justice Building yesterday morning just after 8 am. The bench warrant was issued after the woman failed to attend her court date after being charged with one count of Theft Under $5000 during a shoplifting incident at Walmart back in March. The woman was taken into custody without incident and later released on a Promise to Appear in court.

Warrant

A thirty three year old man formerly of St. Thomas was arrested in Chatham yesterday. Chatham Police Officers were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a warrant by STPS. The man was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing. The warrant stems from an incident back in May where the man is alleged to have made several purchases using a stolen bank card. He is charged four counts Utter Stolen Bank Card, four counts Fraud Under $5000 and one count Breach of Release Conditions. The man was later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.

Warrant

A twenty seven year old St. Thomas woman was arrested yesterday by security staff at the Elgin County Court House. The woman had attended the Court House on an unrelated matter when security officers discovered she was wanted on a warrant by London Police Service. The woman was taken into custody without incident and transported to London Police Headquarters for processing.

Theft

Police are investigating after a locked shed was entered behind a residence on Francis Street North. Thieves broke into the shed sometime between Saturday June 15th and Monday June 17th. A blue and white CCM bike with white racing handles valued at seven hundred dollars was taken. Theft

A thirty nine year old man, a twenty six year old female both from St. Thomas were arrested last night around 8 pm after shoplifting from Walmart. The couple were walking around inside the store when Loss Prevention Officers observed them take CD's from a shelf in the electronics department and hide them in the woman's purse. The two left the store walking past the cash registers making no attempt to pay for the items. They were taken into custody in the parking lot by officers. Both parties were later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.

A thirty seven year old London woman wanted on a warrant by St. Thomas Police was arrested last night in London. London Police Officers were dealing with the woman on an unrelated matter when they discovered she was wanted. The woman was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing. The warrant stems from an incident back in December 2018 where the woman was charged with shoplifting from Walmart. She was later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
