May 14th, 2019 - An eighteen year old St. Thomas man was arrested Sunday evening
around 5 pm and charged one count Breach of Release Conditions. The charges stem
from an incident earlier in the day where the male attended the workplace of his
former girlfriend while bound by court ordered conditions not to communicate/associate
or attend any known location of the woman. He was taken into custody without incident
and later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
A thirty two year old St. Thomas woman was arrested by court security at the Elgin
County Court House yesterday afternoon around 2 pm. The woman attended the court
house on an unrelated matter when security discovered she was wanted on a warrant.
The warrant was issued after the woman failed to attend court to answer to several
Breach of Release Conditions and Drug related charges. She was taken into custody
without incident and later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
A twenty six year old St. Thomas woman turned herself in at the Colin McGregor Justice
Building yesterday afternoon around 4 pm. The woman was wanted on a warrant issued
by STPS after she failed to attend headquarters to have her fingerprints taken in
connection to a Theft Under $5000 charge. She was taken into custody without incident
for processing and later released.
A twenty nine year old St. Thomas man turned himself in yesterday afternoon around
4:30pm at the Colin McGregor Justice Building. The man was wanted on a bench warrant
issued after he failed to attend court to answer to several Break and Enter related
charges. The man was taken into custody without incident and later released on a
Promise to Appear in Court.
A thirty five year old London woman wanted on a warrant by the St. Thomas Police
Service was arrested in Toronto late last night. Toronto Police Officers were dealing
with the woman on an unrelated matter when they discovered she was wanted. The woman
was taken into custody without incident and held for transfer back to St. Thomas.
STPS officers took custody of the woman early this morning and transported her to
the Colin McGregor Justice Building until Court. The woman was wanted after failing
to attend court to answer to several theft and break and enter charges that stem
from an incident last summer where she stole from an elderly gentleman after posing
as a cleaning service to gain access to his home.
A thirty six year old London man was arrested last night around 8:30 pm during a
traffic stop on Wellington Street near Fairview Ave. Officers pulled the vehicle
over for a traffic violation and detected an odour of alcohol coming from the vehicle.
The driver was administered a roadside screening test for alcohol and registered
a fail. He was taken into custody without incident. Test results indicate the male
had approximately 140 mg of alcohol in his system. He was charged one count Operation
While Impaired-Blood Alcohol Level 80 Plus. The driver was later released on a Promise
to Appear in Court.
