Warrant

October 18, 2019 - A thirty year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday morning around 10:30 am on Talbot Street. Officers on general patrol saw the man and recognized him as being wanted on a bench warrant after he failed to attend his court date to answer to charges of assault and unlawful confinement. The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Elgin County Court House for an appearance.

Warrant

A thirty seven year old St Thomas woman wanted on a warrant by St. Thomas Police was arrested yesterday morning around 11 am on Mondamin near Talbot Street. The warrant was issued after police received reports that the woman had breached her release conditions. She was taken into custody without incident and and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing where she was charged two counts Breach of Release Conditions. The woman was later released on a Promise to Appear in court.

Warrant

A forty year old St. Thomas man was arrested in London yesterday afternoon by London Police. London Officers were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a warrant by STPS. He was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing. The man was charged with two counts of Mischief to Property in relation to an incident back in July and released on a Promise to Appear in court.

Arrest

A thirty seven year old St. Thomas man was arrested last evening around 5:30 pm after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Justice Building. The arrest came after an argument earlier in the day with his twenty eight year old estranged common law girlfriend turned physical. The man was taken into custody without incident and charged one count of Assault. He was later released on a Promise to Appear in court. No injuries were reported.

Stolen Bike

Police are investigating after a blue Raleigh mountain bike was stolen from the front porch of a home on Erie near Ross Street sometime Thursday overnight. Assault

A fifty four year old St. Thomas man was arrested last night around 8 pm after an argument with his fifty five year old girlfriend turned physical. Minor injuries were sustained by the woman during the incident. The man was taken into custody without incident and later released on a Promise to Appear in court. He has been charge with one count of Assault.

Impaired

A thirty seven year old man from Barrie was arrested last night around 10:30 pm during a traffic stop on Talbot Street. Officers detected alcohol when speaking with the driver and administered a roadside screening test. The man registered a fail and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where further testing indicated the man had approximately 110 mgs of alcohol in his system. The man was charged one count Operate Motor Vehicle – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. His drivers licence was automatically suspended for ninety days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Arrest

A twenty three year old St. Thomas man was arrested last night on St. Catharine Street and charged with one count of Assault. The arrest comes after police attended a domestic related incident that occurred back on the 9th of October with his twenty one year old ex girlfriend. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where he was held for court.
