June 19th, 2019 - A thirty nine year old St. Thomas woman was charged with one count
of Theft Under $5000 yesterday morning around 10 am at her residence. The woman
had been recorded on security video the day before shoplifting in Walmart and then
leaving the parking lot in a gold coloured jeep. Loss Prevention Officers forwarded
the footage to police who were able to identify the woman and locate her at home.
She was issued an Appearance Notice for Court.
A forty seven year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday evening after an incident
with his thirty four year old ex common law and her fifteen year old son. Police
were called after a disturbance while the three were waiting at a bus stop on the
north side of town which resulted in the man making a gesture as if he was going
to punch the teen aged boy. As a result the man was charged with one count of Assault
and later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
Police are investigating after an RV parked on Hughes Street was broken into sometime
between Sunday June 16th and Tuesday June 18th. Thieves broke the lock on the door
and stole a radio, tv, battery charger, cooler and alcohol. If you have any information

A thirty eight year old St. Thomas man wanted on a warrant was arrested yesterday
evening around 8 pm after he decided to sit on the hood of an unmarked police cruiser.
Officers were patrolling on foot in the area of Curtis and Mondamin Street when
they observed the male sit on the car. He was taken into custody without incident
and fined for being Intoxicated in a Public Place. The bench warrant was issued
after the man failed to attend his court date to answer to several charges including
fraud, mischief, drug possession and breach of release conditions. He was held at
the Colin McGregor Justice building overnight for court.
