Theft

August 3rd, 2019 - During the day shift of Friday August 2nd, 2019 police attended the area of Chester Street in regard to a theft of tools. A neighbour in the area had video surveillance which assisted in identifying 36 year old Robert Daniel SMITH as being responsible. SMITH is on a curfew, which he was also breaching at the time of the theft. As a result, a warrant is being sought for SMITH in relation to the theft of tools, breaching a condition of his Probation and a condition of his Undertaking. Stolen Licence Plate

On Friday August 2nd, 2019 police attended the Petro Canada gas bar located at 400 Highbury Avenue in the City of St. Thomas in relation to theft of gas. The male responsible was captured on video surveillance pumping gas and leaving without paying. The licence plate 415 4CR was reported stolen. Police are seeking the assistance in identifying the male responsible and or locating the vehicle and stolen plate.

Mischief

Also on Friday August 2nd, 2019 police attended the 200 block of Chestnut Street where 3 vehicles had been damaged sometime over night. The total damage to the vehicles is estimated at $2000. Police are seeking the assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for the damage.

Assault Police Officer

Further, during the early evening hours on Friday August 2nd, 2019 police responded to the report of an assault in progress in the Southwest area of the City. Police located a 24 year old female who was part of the disturbance and had been drinking. Not only was she on alcohol conditions but was also not to be at the address she was located. Upon being arrested for breaching the conditions of her Undertaking, she resisted arrest and assaulted a police officer. She was held in custody for a court appearance.

Domestic Dispute

Lastly, on Friday August 2nd, police responded to a domestic dispute. After investigation, a 33 year old male was arrested and charged with assault and held in custody for a court appearance.
