STPS  Theft of Bike  Use of Stolen Credit Card  Wanted Persons Arrested

Mountain Bike Stolen

August 5th, 2019 - The St. Thomas Police are investigating the theft of a light blue Barletta 12 speed mountain bike that was stolen while parked out front of Walmart on August 4th, sometime between 5:30pm and 6:00pm. Police are waiting for video surveillance.

Use of Stolen Credit Card

Sometime over night on August 5th, an unlocked vehicle was entered and the owners wallet containing various credit cards was stolen. The credit cards were then used at different locations throughout the City. Video surveillance from these locations have identified a 31 year old St. Thomas resident as being responsible. Police will be seeking to arrest and charge this individual. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Vehicle Entry

A second vehicle entry was reported on August 5th. Another wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle that contained the owners MTO badge and warrant card, which are both still outstanding.

The St. Thomas Police would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicle doors and remove all valuable items from inside.

Wanted Persons Arrested

A 37 year old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was turned over to the neighbouring agency for processing. Also, a 51 year old male was arrested on an outstanding St. Thomas warrant by the London Police. He was eventually released with a future court date. Lastly, 26 year old Justin Dobson was arrested on an outstanding warrant during the early morning of August 4th. He was released by the court on his own recognizance.
