June 9th, 2019 - A 26 year old male from St. Thomas was caught shoplifting at Walmart
by store security. At around 9:45 pmThe male removed a knife from its packaging
and concealed it up his sleeve prior to leaving the store. Police were called and
the male arrested and brought to the station. It was discovered as well that the
male was on probation. As a result the male was charged with theft under $5000
and a breach of a probation condition of keeping the peace and being of good behavior.
He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
Sunday morning around 6:30 am police were called to a residence on Rickwood Place
regarding a heated/loud family dispute. Upon arrival officers found a mother and
son in a very heated, vulgar argument. As a result of the police intervention the
21 year old son was arrested for breaching the peace. The male was lodged in cells
until he was calm and reasonable.
