Incidents from Feb 28th 0600hrs to Mar 1st 2019 0600hrs.
A theft of a wallet had occurred around 4 pm from the purse of a member of the Pentecostal
church. Police were advised that an unknown male had been wandering the church and
then approximately an hour after this unknown male left the church the member realized
that her green pleather wallet missing. The male described as middle age, greying
hair, scruffy beard wearing a dark coloured jacket with grey stripes down the arms.
He was also carrying a dark backpack.
At approximately 5:40 pm Police responded to 911 calls about a domestic dispute
that was occurring on the street on Ashberry place. Reports were that a female was
striking out at a male and there was a child with them. Police arrived on scene
and an investigation ensued. As a result of their investigation a 36 yr. old female
was arrested for domestic assault and taken to STPS station. She was later released
with a future court date to answer to the charge. No injuries were sustained at
At approximately 7 pm Police came upon a 60 yr old male passed out inside the vestibule
of the old Royal Bank west end Talbot st. The male had open liquor and was intoxicated.
The male was taken to his group home and left in the care of staff there.
Intoxicated in a Public Place
Approximately an hour later Police were called to a Talbot st. apartment regarding
an individual being harassed by an intoxicated male. This 51 yr. old male was located
a short distance away and arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was
transported to the Police station and lodged in cells until he was sober enough
to take care of himself.
Possible Identity Theft
Police were also made aware of a possible identity theft occurrence. A female complainant
attended the station to report that a bank account had been opened fraudulently
in this females name. Police attended the bank and discovered that the account had
been opened with the complainants SIN but that the name was spelled incorrectly
and with wrong address. The bank is assisting in the investigation.
There were 4 motor vehicle collisions and 54 incidents reported in this time period.
