June 21st, 2019 - A thirty six year old St. Thomas man was arrested early Thursday
morning around 7 am after throwing a coffee cup and pushing over the candy machine
at a downtown homeless shelter. Police were called after the man became agitated
and began damaging property inside the location. The man was taken into custody
without incident and charged one count Mischief Under $5000 and two count Breach
of Release Conditions. He was held for court.
A forty two year old inmate has been charged with two counts of Failing to Comply
with a Court Order after his estranged common law received two letters that he sent
to her from the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre. The man is current bound by a
court order not to associate or communicate with the woman.
Vintage Bike Stolen
Police are investigating after a 1976 dark green Rally two speed bike was stolen
from behind a store in the plaza at the corner of Talbot and First Ave. The bike
was parked behind Pet Value when it was stolen Wednesday night sometime between

Careless Driving A fifty eight year old St.Thomas man has been charged with
Careless Driving after swerving his van towards an Ebike in order to intimidate
the rider. The two men were known to each other and had disagreements in the past.
The Ebike was travelling south bound on Balaclava Street when the driver of a north
bound van swerved into the on coming lane of traffic to pass closer to the Ebike.
There was no other traffic on the road at the time. The Ebike rider reported the
incident to police and the charge was laid later the same day.
