May 23rd, 2019 - A forty nine year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday morning
around 10:30 am after officers responded to a domestic dispute. The man was having
a verbal disagreement with his thirty nine year old common law girlfriend when Police
were called. When Officers arrived they discovered the man had been consuming alcohol
in contravention of his current court ordered release conditions. The man was also
bound to "keep the peace and be of good behaviour". As a result he was taken into
custody without incident and later released on a Promise to Appear in Court at a
A thirty four year old St. Thomas man wanted on a bench warrant after failing to
attend court was arrested in London last night around 8 pm. Officers from the London
Police Service were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered
he was wanted. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the
Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing. The charges stem from an incident
back in September of 2018 where the man was charged with one count Domestic Assault
and one count Assault With a Weapon. Once in custody the man was additionally charged
with two counts Breach of Release Conditions. He was held overnight for Court.
A nineteen year old St. Thomas man was arrested last night around 10:30 pm after
driving through the city while impaired causing a couple of collisions and damage
to private property. The incident began when the man was driving westbound on Glanworth
Ave and collided with another car while turning onto First Ave. The second vehicle
received major damage and eventually had to be towed from the scene. No injuries
were reported as the result of the collision. The driver fled the area and a short
time later collided with a parked car on Chestnut Street. The driver is reported
to then have driving on the lawn of a property on Fifth Ave damaging a fence. Officers
caught up to the vehicle on Chestnut Street near Ross Street and took the driver
into custody. The man is now charged with one count Operation While Impaired by
Alcohol and Drugs, one count Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration
80 Plus, one count Dangerous Operation, one count Fail to Stop After Collision,
two counts Breach of Release Conditions and one count Novice Driver BAC Above Zero.
The man was held overnight at the Colin McGregor Justice Building for court.

after police were called to a disturbance in the parking lot of a downtown Tim Hortons.
Once on scene his thirty seven year old common law girlfriend disclosed being assaulted
and threatened with a hammer after two arguments between May 20th and May 22nd.
The man was taken into custody without incident and charged two counts of Domestic
Assault and one count Assault With a Weapon. He was later released on a Promise
to Appear in Court.
