A twenty one year old London man was arrested early Sunday morning around 7:30 am
after police were called to a disturbance on Fifth Ave. When Officers arrived they
located the man arguing with his twenty year old former girlfriend on the sidewalk.
The man was currently bound by conditions not to associate or communicate with the
female. He was taken into custody without incident and charged one count Breach
of Release Conditions. The man was released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
Police responded to a 911 call reporting an accidental Fentanyl overdose on Sunday
around the noon hour. A forty year old man had been using the drug with friends
when he became unconscious. The male was administered Narcan by others at the residence
regaining consciousness before emergency services arrived on scene. The male refused
medical treatment by paramedics.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere
St. Thomas Police Officers conducted a R.I.D.E. spot check on Sunday afternoon stopping
approximately three hundred vehicles. One driver was administered the Alcohol Screening
Device and registered a pass. No offences were found.
A thirty year old St. Thomas man was arrested Sunday evening around 7 pm after he
was spotted by Loss Prevention Officers walking throughout Walmart. The man had
been charged previously for shoplifting and was bound by an order not to attend
the location. The man was taken into custody without incident and charged one count
Breach of Release Conditions. He was later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
A forty four year old London man was arrested last night around 10:30 pm after a
concerned citizen called police to report a possible impaired driver. The witness
was able to provide a detailed description of the vehicle and licence plate assisting
officers with locating in on Talbot Street. The man was taken into custody without
incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building. Breath samples
taken at police headquarters indicated the man had twice the legal limit in his
system. As a result the driver is now charged one count Operation While Impaired
by Alcohol and one count Operation with Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. He
was later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
