New Information Regarding Stolen Boat

June 22nd, 2019 - St. Thomas Police are investigating after a boat was stolen from the parking lot of a Sparling Road business out in the Industrial Area of town. The boat went missing sometime between Saturday June 15th and Tuesday June 18th.

Boat is described as a White and Blue Bayliner Classic with grey cover. "46E33647" on side. No licence plate on boat trailer.

*****Police now have video of the boat being towed away by a black vehicle in the early morning hours of Saturday June 15, 2019. The vehicle and boat travel eastbound on Edward Street from Sparling Rd. A photo is being attached. *****

Break and Enter

June 22nd, 2019 - The St. Thomas Police are investigating a break and enter that occurred sometime overnight June 20 into 21st into an unlocked shed. Stolen was a green push mower, yellow champion generator and an orange STIHL gas powered weed trimmer.

Theft from Vehicle

A citizen reported that their unlocked vehicle was entered overnight June 20 into the 21st and loose change was stolen. Just a reminder to please ensure your vehicles are locked at all times.


On June 21, 2019 STPS attended two different domestic related incidents. The first one resulted in a 41 year old male being charged with uttering death threats. A warrant is being sought for this party. The second incident resulted in a 26 year old male being charge with one count of domestic assault. This male was released from custody with a future court date.

Impaired Driver

On June 22, 2019 in the early morning hours police conducted a traffic stop in the south end of the city. Police observed signs of impairment by the male driver who was subsequently placed under arrest. The driver was taken to the St. Thomas Police station so breath tests could be conducted. It was determined that the 45 year old male driver was almost over twice the legal limit of alcohol. Accordingly he was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having more that 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. He was released with a future court date.
