April 6th, 2019 - On the 5th day of April 2019 St. Thomas Police Service arrested
a 38 year old St. Thomas man for breaching his conditions of release where he was
not supposed to be anywhere that persons under the age of 16 years may be. The male
was held in custody and taken to the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre.
On the 5th day of April 2019 St. Thomas Police attend an east end grocery store
for a shoplifter. The male had fled prior to police arrival. Police conducted an
investigation and identified the male as a 44 year old St. Thomas man who is already
wanted by our service. A second warrant has been requested for males arrest.
On the 5th day of April 2019 Just after 8 pm police attended a south end community
center for a suspected impaired driver. Police located a 15 year old youth who can’t
be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The 15 year old youth was arrested
for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drug and dangerous driving. The
youth was released into the custody of family members with a future court date.
