Trespass to Property Order
March 13th, 2019 - Forty year old Nathaniel Payne of London was arrested by St.
Thomas Police yesterday afternoon around 3 pm at Walmart. Payne had attended the
store after being issued a Trespass to Property notice. Loss Prevention Officers
recognized the male as being banned from the property and called police. Payne was
located and charged under the Trespass to Property Act. During processing, STPS
Officers discovered Payne was also wanted on a warrant by London Police. Payne was
taken into custody without incident and held at the Colin McGregor Justice Building
for transfer to the London Police Headquarters.
A fifty two year old man from Muncey was arrested yesterday afternoon around 2 pm
after shoplifting from Walmart. The man was observed by Loss Prevention Officers
loading three large bags of dog food valued at $150 into a cart. The man then walked
out of the store without paying for the dog food and drove off in a black truck.
Loss Prevention were able to record the licence plate number on the vehicle and
forward it to police. The man was located at the LCBO and arrested. He is charged
one count Theft Under $5000 and was released on an Appearance Notice for court next
month. The dog food was seized and returned to Walmart.
A twenty eight year old woman was arrested last evening around 8 pm after Loss Prevention
Officers at Walmart observed the female shoplifting inside the store. The woman
had taken a watch and two rings out of their packaging and hid them in her bag.
The woman then proceeded to the check out with some items but did not pay for the
unwrapped watch and rings. The woman was arrested by police and charged one count
Theft Under $5000. She was later released on an Appearance Notice for court next
Breach of Youth Release Conditions
Officers were called to a disturbance at the corner of Ross and Wellington Streets
early this morning around 2 am. Once on scene police discovered a small gathering
of youth who appear to have met for a prearranged fight. No assault had taken place
and the teens were sent on their way. Officers did locate among the youth a sixteen
year old who is currently bound by a court order to obey a curfew and be inside
their residence from 10 pm to 6 am. The Youth was arrested and charged on count
of Breach of Youth Release Conditions. The youth was held at the Colin McGregor
Justice Building until an adult could take custody. The Youth was released on a
Promise to Appear in Youth Court.
