Arrest

August 1st, 2019 - A forty three year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday morning just before 7 am after officers arrived at his residence for a compliance check. The male is currently at large in the community released on break and enter, uttering threats, resist arrest and several breach of release charges. The male on court orders to obey a nightly curfew and remain in his residence. When police arrived at his address they were advised by a roommate that the male had not been home all night. Just as police were about to leave the apartment the male rode up to the door on his bicycle. He was taken into custody without incident and held for court. He is facing an additional breach of release charge.

Warrant

A thirty four year old male was arrested yesterday morning around 9 am after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Justice Building. The man was wanted on a warrant issued by St. Thomas Police for one count of Domestic Assault. The warrant stems from an incident Wednesday night around 10 pm when a verbal argument with his twenty eight year old common law turned physical. The man was taken into custody without incident and held for court. No injuries were reported.

Overnight Theft

Police are investigating after a Dewalt radio and a purse were stolen from a garage on Chestnut Street near First Avenue. Sometime Tuesday overnight thieves entered the unlocked garage and took the radio from a shelf and the purse from inside the car parked in the garage. Wanted

A twenty seven year old male is wanted by police after officers spotted him out breaching his release conditions. Officers on general patrol were at a residence on First Ave dealing with a separate incident when they saw the man flee the property running through the backyard. The man is currently at large in the community released on charges of theft, possession of stolen property and trespass by night with court ordered conditions to obey a nightly curfew and remain in his residence and not to be out without his surety. The man is now wanted for two counts Breach of Release.
