STPS Arrest Fire Domestic

May 9th, 2019 - A sixty year old man was arrested by Police yesterday afternoon around 2 pm after he was discovered passed out on the sidewalk of Talbot Street near Alma. The man was taken into custody without incident and held at the Colin McGregor Justice Building until sober. He was fined for being Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.

Police were called to the north end of Hiawatha Street last night around 6 pm after neighbours noticed a building on fire. The building was unoccupied at the time and was located on CN Rail property. The fire was quickly extinguished by St. Thomas Fire Department. Preliminary information indicates the fire may have ignited accidentally after cooking equipment was located inside. CN Rail Police will continue with the investigation.

A forty one year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after an argument with his thirty seven year old common law partner turned physical. Police took the man into custody early this morning around 2 am after he allegedly pushed the female during an argument. No injuries were reported. The man was later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
