STPS  Another Sentencing for Project Coppertone

August 9th, 2019 - Forty four year old David Parsons of St. Thomas was sentenced today to thirty one months in custody after being charged with four counts of Drug Trafficking during Project Coppertone. Parsons arrest was one of the many made by members of the Street Crimes Unit during a nine month crime sweep of the city that ended in October of 2018. At the end of the project, dozens of arrests were made, half a million dollars worth of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and purple Fentanyl was seized by police along with tens of thousand of dollars in cash and weapons. Parsons has been in custody since his arrest back in September 2018 and will remain in custody to serve the approximately fifteen months left on his sentence.
